New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

Inspired by the spirit of Mahalia Jackson and the Eureka Brass Band back in 1970, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival celebrates the culture of Louisiana with the combined fervor of a gospel hymn and the joy of a jazz parade. Jazz Fest is a 10-day cultural feast with thousands of musicians, cooks and craftspeople; showcases unforgettable music on multiple stages, delicious Louisiana cuisine in two large food areas, and crafts artisans from the region and around the world demonstrating and selling their work. The Largest Free Music Festival in the South

French Quarter Festival
This award-winning festival, which began in 1984, has grown to become the largest free music festival in the south. With 18 stages throughout the French Quarter representing the best in New Orleans music, and over 105 food and beverage booths located in Jackson Square, this festival promises to be a unique weekend that only New Orleans can deliver. Festival takes place over the weekend of April 8 to the 10th in 2011.
